Blockstream CEO and founder Adam Back has made a prediction about when Bitcoin will reach $100,000. Back engaged in a debate on Twitter with an anonymous user named @Vikingobbitcoin about the price of BTC.

The anonymous user claimed that Bitcoin would not reach $100,000 by 2025, but Back countered that it would happen before the 2024 halving event.

According to their bet, if Back’s prediction holds true and Bitcoin reaches $100,000 by March 31, 2024, the anonymous user will pay him 1 million satoshis. On the other hand, if Bitcoin does not reach that price, Back will make the payment. Currently, 1 million satoshis is equivalent to $290. This bet may seem relatively small compared to other million-dollar predictions, but the two parties made it symbolic.

It is worth noting that Back previously stated that Bitcoin could reach $1 million with the 2032 halving.

Adam Back is known for being one of the early contributors to Bitcoin mining. Some have speculated that Back could be Satoshi Nakamoto, as both are English and occasionally use similar language styles in their writings.

Furthermore, Samson Mow, who is also a known supporter of Bitcoin, has stated that the largest cryptocurrency will achieve an all-time high (ATH) before the halving event.
